Mysore, karnataka’s second city with a rich cultural heritage has been adjudged the cleanest in the country after Chandigarh, while Bangalore and Mangalore have bagged the 12th and 8th place, respectively.

Benchmarks
The benchmarks for the rating were keeping city free from open defecation, universal access to toilets for all, including the poor, elimination of manual scavenging, wastewater treatment, solid waste and storm water and recycle/reuse of treated wastewater with the ultimate objective of ensuring improved public health outcomes and environmental well-being. 

The rating was carried out by three private agencies ––AC Nielsen-ORG Marg, Development and Research Services (DRS) and CEPT University –– who were selected in a competitive bidding.

I am basically from Assam but i love Mysore. Its really nice city with beautiful nature, beautiful people and very beautiful climate.

I am from Hyderabad living in a busy life went to Mysore for 6monts on office work, felt very happy calm and cool place love to be in Mysore, now I have decided in a year I'll spend a week time in Mysore to recharge myself, Decided later part of my life I'll lead in Mysore

I studied my B.E from Mysore.I am from Andhra.the 4 years which i stayed I enjoyed every part of life and the feeling which I have now is to go and settle in Mysore and the later part of my life.Mysore is the place which I love most after my birth place which is Nellore in AP.

Hi, i can never forget my birth place, though i am settled in B'lore, down the line, may be after 10 years i wish to come and settle in Mys . It is my desire to buy 1 small and beautiful house in calm and peaceful locality and spend my rest of life and of course want to die in the heritage mud of mysore. Only one concern is, does not have job opportunities, that is what worried about. Any ways i feel people who are living in Mys are really lucky....
